BACKGROUND
The City of Brighton Parks Department has a project in the 2024 budget to make upgrades to the Brighton Sports Complex. The plans for this project are to remove and replace the existing deteriorated dugouts with brand new dugouts eight (8) in total, as well as add shade structures over all eight (8) bleachers on the site to provide shade to the complex.
The total cost for the Brighton Sports Complex Upgrades (Project) is $1,000,000.00. This Adams County Grant funded project is the combination of both this grant funding and City’s matching funds. The Adams County Open Space Grant funding is $500,000.00 (50% of the total) and the City’s cash match of $500,000.00 (50% of the total). The City has sufficient appropriation budgeted for this project in the 2024 budget.
