PURPOSE
To appoint by Resolution a member to the Planning Commission
BACKGROUND
Per City Council Policy, applicants are required to go through an interview process and, upon City Council recommendation; members are appointed by the Mayor with Ratification by City Council.
There are currently four (4) vacancies on the Planning Commission. There were three (3) applications from one ward received by the City Clerk’s Office for this open position, and the two member City Council interview committee recommended appointment of only two applicants. At the study session on February 13, 2024, the City Council indicated support only for one applicant. The resolution presented makes the one appointment.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
A Resolution is attached for the purpose of filling an open seat.
