1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor McLean called the meeting to order at 6:07 p.m.
A. Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag.
Councilmember Baca led the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag.
B. Roll Call.
Present: 8 - Mayor McLean, Mayor Pro Tem Kreutzer, Councilmember Baca,
Councilmember Bell, Councilmember Edwards, Councilmember Humbert,
Councilmember Kniss, and Councilmember Wallin
Absent: 1 - Councilmember Pollack
2. APPROVAL OF REGULAR AGENDA
Motion by Councilmember Wallin, seconded by Councilmember Bell, to approve the Regular
Agenda as presented. Motion passed by the following vote:
Aye: 8 - Mayor McLean, Mayor Pro Tem Kreutzer, Councilmember Baca, Councilmember
Bell, Councilmember Edwards, Councilmember Humbert, Councilmember Kniss,
and Councilmember Wallin
Sheriff Mike McIntosh thanked the City and the Police Department for being such great partners and reported on things happening in the Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff McIntosh introduced members of the Community Connection Team Sergeant Jim Morgan and Deputy Amanda Overton.
3. PUBLIC INVITED TO BE HEARD ON MATTERS NOT ON THE AGENDA
(Speakers limited to five minutes)
Peter Phibbs, 168 Paloma Avenue, Brighton. Mr. Phibbs spoke about the City Council policies, agendas and responsibilities regarding Special Meetings and CIRSA.
4. ORDINANCES FOR FINAL CONSIDERATION
A. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BRIGHTON, COLORADO, APPROVING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF THE VACANT PROPERTY DESCRIBED AS LOT 1, BLOCK 3, SORRENTO SUBDIVISION, 2ND AMENDMENT, BRIGHTON, COLORADO, TO THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF BRIGHTON, COLORADO, ON THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THAT CERTAIN CONTRACT TO BUY AND SELL REAL ESTATE BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE HOUSING AUTHORITY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE THE CLOSING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR SAID SALE AND CONVEYANCE, AND TO UNDERTAKE SUCH OTHER TASKS AND EXECUTE SUCH OTHER DOCUMENTS AS MAY BE REQUIRED TO CONSUMMATE THE TRANSACTION FOR THE CITY; AND SETTING FORTH OTHER DETAILS RELATED THERETO
Mayor McLean read the title of the Ordinance into the record.
City Manager Esquibel explained that this is the final reading of the Ordinance and there have not been any changes since first reading.
Mayor McLean asked if there were any questions from the audience at the second reading of the Ordinance, there was none.
Motion by Councilmember Edwards, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Kreutzer, to approve
Ordinance 2223. Motion passed by the following vote:
Aye: 8 - Mayor McLean, Mayor Pro Tem Kreutzer, Councilmember Baca,
Councilmember Bell, Councilmember Edwards, Councilmember Humbert,
Councilmember Kniss, and Councilmember Wallin
5. ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Councilmember Wallin, seconded by Councilmember Baca, to adjourn at 6:23
p.m. Motion passed by the following vote:
