BACKGROUND

City Attorney Alicia Calderón was appointed by City Council on August 23, 2021. The City Council is tasked with conducting an annual performance evaluation process that is approved by the Council.

City Council did set a plan to conduct a performance evaluation process with the assistance of Human Resources Director Kevin Young. City Council members had an opportunity to complete a performance evaluation form that was sent confidentially to Director Young, who summarized the performance evaluation information.

If Council votes to retain him as City Attorney, Council may set a new compensation rate.

City Council met on September 20, 2022, in Executive Session with Director Young present to discuss and vote on City Attorney Alicia Calderón’s performance and compensation increase. City Council then met with City Attorney Alicia Calderón to discuss her performance and compensation.
