1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor McLean called the meeting to order at 6:08 p.m.

Mayor McLean led the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag.

2. APPROVAL OF REGULAR AGENDA
Motion by Mayor Pro-Tem Wallin, seconded by Councilmember Kniss, to approve the
Regular Agenda as presented. Motion passed by the following vote:

3. CEREMONIES
A. Sister Cities Proclamation
Mayor McLean read the Proclamation into the record and presented it to Malgorzata Stolarek.
Motion by Councilmember Humbert, seconded by Councilmember Baca, to approve the
Proclamation. Motion passed by the following vote:

B. Honorary Citizenship Recognition Proclamation for Ryszard Nowak
Mayor McLean read the Proclamation into the record and presented it to Ryszard Nowak.
Motion by Councilmember Edwards, seconded by Councilmember Bell, to approve the
Proclamation. Motion passed by the following vote:

C. Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Denver, Colorado
Honorary Consul General Tomasz Skotnicki introduced Legal and Citizenship Consulate for the Republic of Poland Mr. Lukasz Wojciechowski
Mayor McLean introduced Henry Ross.
Henry Ross introduced Consul General Tomasz Skotnicki.
Consul General Tomasz Skotnicki reported that this is a great occasion, is honored to be here and gave a brief history of the Sister Cities program between Ziebice, Poland and the City of Brighton. Henry Ross has become a great friend and was recognized by the President of Poland two (2) years ago. Consul General Tomasz Skotnicki introduced his colleague from Los Angeles Lukasz Wojciechowski.
Legal and Citizenship Consulate for the Republic of Poland Lukasz Wojciechowski explained that the General Consul was not able to attend but read his letter of congratulations for the 20th Anniversary of the Sister Cities program between Ziebice, Poland and the City of Brighton and the tireless efforts of the participants for making this relationship successful.
Councilmember Kreutzer was honored with a special recognition from the President of Poland.
Councilmember Kreutzer thanked everyone for this honor and expressed that Ziebice has changed the lives of him and his family.
Mayor McLean introduced former Mayor Don Hamstra and former Mayor Jan Pawlowski.
Former Mayor Jan Pawlowski gave a brief history of her involvement in the Sister Cities program during her time on Council and is happy that this relationship is continuing.
Former Mayor Don Hamstra gave a brief history of how the Sister Cities program began in 1994 and thanked Henry Ross for his commitment to this program that has been so beneficial to the City of Brighton.
D. Presentation to Mary Hodge
Malgorzata Stolarek presented a gift to Mary Hodge. Mary Hodge thanked Ms. Stolarek and explained that she is extremely grateful and amazed.
E. Brighton presents City gift to Ziebice
Mayor McLean presented the gift to Mariusz Szpilarewicz.
F. Ziebice presents gift to Brighton
Malgorzata Stolarek presented a gift to Mayor McLean from Ziebice.
4. ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Councilmember Martinez, seconded by Councilmember Kreutzer, to adjourn at 6:52
p.m. Motion passed by the following vote:
