1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Mills called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
A. Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag
Councilmember Pawlowski led the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag.
B. Roll Call
Present: 7 - Mayor Mills, Mayor Pro Tem Cushing, Councilmember Blackhurst,
Councilmember Johnston, Councilmember Padilla, Councilmember Pawlowski, and Councilmember Taddeo
Not Present: 1 - Councilmember Pollack
2. APPROVAL OF REGULAR AGENDA
Motion by Councilmember Padilla, seconded by Councilmember Pawlowski, to approve the Regular Agenda as presented. Motion passed by the following vote:
Aye: 7 - Mayor Mills, Mayor Pro Tem Cushing, Councilmember Blackhurst, Councilmember
Johnston, Councilmember Padilla, Councilmember Pawlowski, and ouncilmember
Taddeo
Absent: 1 - Councilmember Pollack
3. RESOLUTIONS
A. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BRIGHTON, COLORADO, APPOINTING DIRECTORS TO THE BOARDS OF DIRECTORS OF BRIGHTON CROSSING METROPOLITAN DISTRICT NO. 7
Mayor Mills read the title of the Resolution into the record.
Motion by Councilmember Johnston, seconded by Councilmember Blackhurst, to approve Resolution 2022-93. Motion passed by the following vote:
Aye: 7 - Mayor Mills, Mayor Pro Tem Cushing, Councilmember Blackhurst, Councilmember
Johnston, Councilmember Padilla, Councilmember Pawlowski, and Councilmember Taddeo
Absent: 1 - Councilmember Pollack
B. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BRIGHTON, COLORADO, APPOINTING DIRECTORS TO THE BOARDS OF DIRECTORS OF BRIGHTON CROSSING METROPOLITAN DISTRICT NOS. 5, 6, AND 8
Mayor Mills read the title of the Resolution into the record.
City Attorney Alicia Calderón explained that City Council has the authority per statute to take this action.
Eve Velasco, General Counsel for the Brighton Crossing District Nos. 5-8, 4 and the Operations Board. Ms. Velasco presented the background on the district structure, the reason for this action to be taken due to a clerical error, and the actions that need to be taken by the districts to continue services to residents.
Motion by Councilmember Padilla, seconded by Councilmember Taddeo, to approve Resolution 2022-94. Motion passed by the following vote:
Aye: 7 - Mayor Mills, Mayor Pro Tem Cushing, Councilmember Blackhurst, Councilmember
Johnston, Councilmember Padilla, Councilmember Pawlowski, and Councilmember Taddeo
Absent: 1 - Councilmember Pollack
4. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Mills adjourned the meeting at 4:24 p.m.
