BACKGROUND OF PROJECT
The City of Brighton Public Works Department requested a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for “On Call” Transportation Services for support with engineering design for minor City wide transportation projects. Multiple firms, with a variety of services and specialization, were evaluated for selection to target all the “On Call” Transportation Service needs of the Public Works Department.
The firms will act as an extension of the Public Works Department in providing a variety of services from collecting and analyzing traffic data or transportation section designs, to construction material testing.
Seven (7) firms responded to the Request for Qualifications. Four (4) firms were selected for interviews with the Project Team and Procurement and Contracts Manager.
The four (4) recommended firms have the requisite experience and capacity to perform the services needed by the Public Works Department. For each project, quotes will be obtained in advance from the appropriate firm(s) for evaluation and then a recommendation will proceed.
It is the recommendation of the Department to enter into a Professional Service Agreement (multi-term) with the selected firms listed below:
1. Alfred Benesch & Company
2. HCL Engineering & Surveying, Inc.
3. Bohannan Huston, Inc.
4. JR Engineering, LLC
