Mayor Mills called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BRIGHTON, COLORADO, APPROVING THE PROCUREMENT OF 2023 TRANSPORTATION PRESERVATION AND IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, PROJECT #23-008125, AND AWARDING A CONTRACT TO A-1 CHIPSEAL COMPANY FOR THE CONTRACT AMOUNT OF THREE MILLION EIGHT HUNDRED EIGHTY-ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVENTEEN DOLLARS AND TWENTY-SIX CENTS ($3,881,117.26), AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY

Mayor Mills read a letter from Representative Caraveo regarding the award of a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency. Mayor Mills met with visiting students from Sister City Ziebice, Poland. Thursday is the groundbreaking for the Municipal Service Center and the CML Conference is next week.

Councilmember Green attended the dedication of the new Pagoda at the Wat Buddhapunyaram and announced that the city will have a fireworks celebration on the 4th of July and Adams County will have a celebration on July 3rd.
Councilmember Pawlowski attended the E-470 meeting and met with students from Sister City Ziebice, Poland.
13. EXECUTIVE SESSION
Motion by Mayor Pro Tem Blackhurst, seconded by Councilmember Pawlowski, to go into Executive Session at 6:30 p.m. for determining positions relative to matters subject to negotiations pursuant to C.R.S. Section 24-6-402(4)(e) and City Charter Section 5.4(C)(3) regarding a potential prospect. Motion passed by the following vote:
