BACKGROUND/HISTORY

Sable Blvd. is a former state highway segment that the City of Brighton took ownership around 2011. Along the corridor, there are arterials and collector roadways that connect to Sable Blvd. Over time as traffic grows with the growth of the City and surrounding areas, traffic signals become warranted to control the orderly flow of traffic and to enhance intersection safety. The work consists of installing underground infrastructure, traffic signal poles, obtaining power, installing controllers, associated traffic equipment, roadway striping, and all other work that is inherent to complete the construction.
