BACKGROUND
In 2004, City Council approved the Construction and Operations Agreement between the City of Brighton and Brighton Crossing Metropolitan District No. 4 for the construction and operation of a parking lot that served the Brighton Crossing Beach Club Aquatic Park and would serve the future community park to be constructed adjacent to the Beach Club.
Brighton Crossing Metropolitan District No. 4 is currently replacing the Beach Club with a new expanded recreation facility, the “Venture Recreation Center,” which includes expansion of the parking lot. The new parking lot will be available for use by Community Park patrons. The Metro District will maintain the parking lot and landscaping until the Community Park is constructed in 2020. At that time, a new maintenance agreement will be developed. The new parking lot will be constructed at no cost to the City.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact to the City for this agreement, as the Brighton Crossing Metropolitan District will construct and maintain the parking lot and landscaping.
