PURPOSE
Requesting City Council approval of formal solicitation for project # 20-006484 Design Build Basketball Court and Trail to the most responsive and responsible bidder, and approving the resolution giving the City Manager, or Designee, authority to sign the contract. Municipal Code Section 3.08.090, "...All bids and proposals in excess of $50,000 shall be awarded through formal written procedures by the City Council."
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
Formal Proposals were requested from qualified professionals for the Design Build Basketball Court and Trail. The work to be completed includes the design and construction of a new post tension concrete basketball court and the construction of a new concrete trail connecting the existing trail to a future parking lot at Thomas Donelson Park. The original plan for Thomas Donelson Park included an area for a basketball court to be added in the future providing the park users with an additional amenity to the site.
The formal proposals were received on October 14th at 10:00 AM; three (3) firms submitting a proposal for the project. All proposals were reviewed by the Parks and Recreation Department.
The three (3) firms submitting proposals are:

Colorado Designscapes, Inc.
ECI Site Construction-HAROD COPLAN MACHT
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Sufficient appropriation exists for the project.
