PURPOSE
To present an ordinance for Council’s consideration to amend Article 3-30 of the City Code to temporarily cap third-party restaurant delivery fees within the City.

BACKGROUND
At the December 8, 2020 Study Session, staff presented information to City Council regarding third-party food service delivery fees paid by Brighton restaurants. Council discussed the item, including the possibility of capping the delivery fees for a temporary period, and requested the City Manager bring an ordinance before Council at a future meeting for formal consideration.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
No financial impact to City sales tax or revenue. Business owners will pay less to third-party delivery companies.

2. Approve the ordinance with modifications incorporated per direction from City Council
