Municipal Code Section 3.08.090, ". . . . All bids and proposals in excess of $50,000 shall be awarded through formal written procedures by the City Council."
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
A critical component of the City of Brighton's municipal water system is a non-potable facility that is used to supply water to irrigate various parks throughout the city. There are operational issues with the current facility that have prompted the design of a rehabilitation project. These issues include: sediment buildup from the Fulton Lateral in the pond, inefficient pump placement within the wet well, ineffective backwash discharge location, and lack of access to intake structures for repair or maintenance.

The scope of the project includes:
* Construction of a new wet well
* Placement of a pre-packaged pump station skid
* Electrical work to connect pre-packaged pump station to existing electrical
* Construction of new access ramp, intake structures and back wash line.
