PURPOSE
Requesting City Council approval of a formal proposal for the Parks & Recreation Master Plan Updates to the most responsive and responsible proposer, and approving the resolution giving the Mayor authority to sign the contract. Pursuant to Municipal Code Section 3-8-90, all bids and proposals in excess of $50,000.00 shall be awarded through formal written procedures by the City Council.
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
Formal Proposals were requested from qualified Professionals for Parks & Recreation Master Plan Updates. The work to be completed includes completion of a review and update of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan from 2008, review and update the Greenways and Trails Master Plan from 2004, and review and update the Brighton Open Space Plan from 2001. The three master plans shall be coordinated with the City's Comp Plan and other City master plans.

The formal proposals were received on January 22, 2020 at 4:00 PM; six (6) firms submitting a proposal for this project. All proposals received were reviewed in conjunction with formal interviews conducted by the staff of Parks & Recreation and Community Development.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding was approved in the 2020 budget. The proposal from GreenPlay LLC is within the budgeted amount.
