PURPOSE
Requesting City Council approval of a resolution approving the placement of a plaque on Brighton Legacy Pathway recognizing Ken Kreutzer for his service to the Brighton community.
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
Ken Kreutzer is a Brighton native who taught marketing at Brighton High School and called the football games for 25 years for the Brighton Bulldogs. He is a volunteer and the president of Brighton Sister Cities, and a board member of the United Power Operation Round-up Foundation. Ken served on the City Council for six years, two of which he served as the mayor of the City of Brighton
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The purchase and installation of the plaque, stone, and landscape in Legacy Pathway costs approximately $1,500 and will come from the Parks and Recreation capital fund. Funding is available yearly for projects of this nature.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approving the resolution to place a plaque on Legacy Pathway honoring Ken Kreutzer for his service to the Brighton community.
