PURPOSE
To provide City Council with information about the current status of board and commission member term limits.
BACKGROUND
City Council requested this item be brought to a study session for discussion. A review of City Council appointed boards and commissions identified four that have term limits, and three that do not. Parks and Recreation Board, Planning Commission, Sustainability Advisory Board, and Historic Preservation all have term limits. Youth Commission, Brighton Housing Authority, and Brighton Urban Renewal Authority do not have term limits. A review of other cities and their boards will also be provided in the presentation. This is a City Council item for discussion.
