PURPOSE
To discuss in executive session matters involving the possible purchase of real property and sale of real property, involving two separate properties.
BACKGROUND
An individual has approached the City about acquiring a small portion of a property owned by the City, and the City Council needs to consider further negotiations and provide direction to negotiators. Premature disclosure of such consideration may give an unfair or bargaining advantage.
The City will also consider the purchase of property and water rights, and any premature discussion would create an unfair advantage or disadvantage. These discussions will determine positions relative to issues subject to negotiation or develop strategy for negotiations.
OPTIONS FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION
City Council may make a motion, with the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present, to recess for an executive session pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(a) and (e) and Charter Section 5.4(C)(1) and (2) for negotiations and to discuss real property acquisitions or sales.
