PURPOSE
A Resolution authorizing the City of Brighton to enter into a Mini-Grant Agreement with Adams County for grant funding in the amount not to exceed $2,500.00 for the High School Seniors Beautification Project at Donelson Park; authorizing the City's matching obligation of $2,500.00; and authorizing the City Manager to sign and execute the Agreement.

BACKGROUND
The Parks and Recreation Department, during each spring from 2012 through 2021, have worked with Brighton High School on park beautification projects with their High School Seniors. (The Seniors have completed nine beautification projects within the City's Open Space and Parks instead of participating in "Senior Ditch Day".)

The total cost for the High School Seniors Beautification Project at Donelson Park (Project) is $5,000.00. This Adams County Mini-Grant funded project is the combination of both this grant funding and City's matching funds. The Adams County Open Space Mini-Grant funding is $2,500.00 (50% of the total) and it will match the City's cash match of $2,500.00 (50% of the total). The City has budgeted this cash match in the 2022 Parks and Recreation Operating Fund.

The City Attorney's Office has reviewed the Agreement and has found it to be acceptable.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Signing the Grant Agreement with Adams County will allow the City of Brighton to receive $2,500.00 that will be used for the Project. The City has budgeted the match of $2,500.00 in the 2022 Parks and Recreation Operating Budget. The...
