PURPOSE

To provide an update to City Council regarding the current happenings in the Utilities Department and what is to come in the future.

 

BACKGROUND / DISCUSSION

The City of Brighton Utilities Department has been busy so far in 2024!

 

This departmental update will include items such as:

                     Introduction to the Utilities team

                     An overview of the systems and functions we provide

                     Introduction of the new Utilities ‘brand,’ the department strategic plan, and our investments made in customer outreach

                     New efforts to engage our staff and encourage growth within our department

                     Current and future staffing levels

                     Updates on recent activities in each of the department’s five divisions

                     Allow for City Council questions and discussion

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

City staff are not asking City Council to take any action and this item is presented for informational purposes only.
