PURPOSE

To discuss in executive session matters involving personnel matters related to the City Attorney’s evaluation. Prior to the executive session, the City Attorney will present her annual report to the City Council.

 

BACKGROUND

 

The City Council directly appoints the City Attorney. The City of Brighton Charter requires that the City Council evaluate the City Attorney annually pursuant to Charter Section 8.1(F). The Human Resources Director meets with the City Council to assist the Council with the annual evaluation. This executive session is to discuss and review the City Attorney’s evaluation.

 

OPTIONS FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION

 

City Council may make a motion, with the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present, to recess for an executive session pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(f)(I) and Charter Section 5.4(C)(5) for personnel matters related to the City Attorney.
