PURPOSE
Requesting City Council approval of a formal bid for the Highway 7 and Miller Street Xeric Landscape Improvements to the lowest most responsive and responsible bidder, and approving the resolution giving the Mayor authority to sign the contract. Municipal Code Section 3.08.090, ". . . . All bids and proposals in excess of $50,000 shall be awarded through formal written procedures by the city council."
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
Formal Bids were requested from qualified Contractors for the Highway 7 and Miller Street Xeric Landscape Improvements. The work shall include demolition of existing landscaping and installing new landscape improvements. The new improvements shall include installation of irrigation system, landscape edging, plant materials, boulders, and sod. This work is adjacent to and on a state highway. The contractor shall obtain a CDOT permit that will include a traffic control plan.
Formal bids were received on May 1, 2015 at 8:30 AM. All bids received were opened and read into record by the Procurement & Contracts Supervisor at a public bid opening.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Sufficient funding was approved in the 2015 budget for the Highway 7 and Miller Street Xeric Landscape Improvements Project. The bid from SaBell's Enterprise LLLP is within the budgeted amount.
