PURPOSE
Requesting City Council approval of a formal Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Playground Improvements in Veterans Park to the most responsive and responsible proposal, and approving the resolution giving the City Manager authority to sign the contract. Pursuant to Municipal Code Section 3-8-90, all bids and proposals in excess of $50,000.00 shall be awarded through formal bid procedures by the City Council.

BACKGROUND/HISTORY
The project work, situated at Veterans Park, consists of the demolition and removal of the old playground structures and creation of an iconic slide structure and a 2-bay swing set as the main play feature within the designated playground area, and all other work associated to complete the project, where any items not specifically identified are considered inherent to the work.

Five (5) formal sealed proposals were received on October 17, 2019 at 10:00 AM. The proposals were opened and recorded by the Procurement Specialist.
