PURPOSE
To provide updates on the City of Brighton Strategic Plan.
BACKGROUND
In February of 2026, the Brighton City Council, along with City of Brighton Staff, held a brainstorming session to provide updates to the City of Brighton Strategic Plan. At the Study Session held on May 12, 2026, the Budget & Innovation Department presented an draft updated version of the Strategic Plan. At the study session, the Brighton City Council provided feedback on the updated plan. The Budget & Innovation Department took that feedback, updated the plan based on that feedback, and is now presenting a Resolution to officially adopt the 2023-2027 revised Brighton Strategic Plan. This updated version includes a new vision area, Stewardship & Sustainability, along with updates to existing vision areas.
