PURPOSE

STRATEGIC FOCUS AREA

Recognizable and Well-Planned Community

Financially Responsible

Strong Regional Relationships and Partnerships

BACKGROUND

The original MOA was approved in 2013 with amendments to extend the MOA in 2019 and 2020. It has been a useful and productive arrangement for both parties. Mutual desire exists to extend the agreement for a period of one year with a change to incorporate monthly rent due from BHA as well as the addition of clear language to outline BHA will report all payroll and payroll related costs under its own federal employer identification number (FEIN).

FINANCIAL IMPACT

BHA will pay $5.70/square foot for space leased in Historic City Hall, of $1,330 per month. This is based on their current occupation of 2,800 square feet and could change, up or down, depending on their space needs.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends approval of the MOA as written.
