PURPOSE

Requesting City Council approval of a resolution:
* Accepting the formal bid from Layne Inliner, LLC as the lowest, most responsive and responsible bidder for the 2015 Sewer Line Rehabilitation Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) project
* Authorizing a contract with Layne Inliner, LLC for the Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) project, Bid #15-030
* Giving the Mayor authority to execute such contract, and
* Authorizing the City Manager to approve changes to the contract amount up to ten percent (10%) of the original contract amount.

BACKGROUND

CIPP is a process of lining sanitary and stormwater sewer pipes with a cured-in-place lining. The lining can correct minor problems within degrading pipes and significantly increase the expected life of the pipe.
