PURPOSE

Requesting City Council’s approval of the procurement for 22-007335 Security Project by awarding a contract to Rockwest Technology Group, Inc., d/b/a Multicard, a company that holds a Master Price Agreement awarded through cooperative purchasing methods, and approving the resolution giving the City Manager, or designee, authority to sign the contract. Per City Code Section 3-8-40(f): “Cooperative purchasing shall be implemented when feasible and in the best interest of the City and shall be accepted in lieu of City-generated formal bids.”

BACKGROUND

The City of Brighton had an EPA assessment of the existing infrastructure in 2020 and from the evaluation it was determined it was necessary to improve the security of our buildings around the city. The additional security devices are the first part of the improvements.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Sufficient appropriation exists for the project.

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the City Council approve the request to issue an award Rockwest Technology Group, Inc., d/b/a Multicard as the lowest most responsive and responsible proposer.
