PURPOSE
A Resolution authorizing the City of Brighton to submit to Adams County Open Space, an Open Space Mini-Grant Application requesting grant funding in the amount not to exceed $2,500.00 for the "High School Seniors Beautification Project at Donelson Park"; and to authorize the City Manager to sign the Grant Application.

BACKGROUND
The Parks and Recreation Department, during each spring from 2012 through 2019, have worked with Brighton High School on park beautification projects with their High School Seniors. (The Seniors have completed eight beautification projects within the City's Open Space and Parks instead of participating in "Senior Ditch Day". The ninth and tenth beautification projects were during the 2020 to 2021 Coronavirus COVID19 Pandemic and the Senior classes were not allowed to attend because of the Pandemic. The City's Parks and Open Space Division ordered and planted the trees per approval of Adams County.) In 2022, the High School Seniors are scheduled to again participate in the tree planting project.

Due to the success and growth in participants of the past ten grant funded High School Seniors Beautification Projects; the High School Seniors will again work with the City's Parks and Recreation Department - Parks and Open Space Division on this project.
