BACKGROUND

Beverly Palmer served on Brighton City Council, Ward II in 2000. Her goal was to establish a formal Historic Preservation Commission for the City, which she successfully achieved. She worked to celebrate her neighbor’s contribution to Brighton’s history.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

The purchase and installation of the plaque, stone, and landscape of a memorial along the path in Memorial Parkway costs approximately $1,500 and will come from the Parks and Recreation capital fund. Funding is available yearly for projects of this nature.
