PURPOSE
Requesting City Council approval for the Annual Maintenance Renewal for HPE Hardware under the terms and conditions of the State of Minnesota, Contract No. MNNVP-134 dated April 1, 2015 through March 31, 2020 and extended through Amendment No. 3 until July 31, 2021, and approving the resolution giving the Mayor authority to sign the contract. Pursuant to Municipal Code Section 3-8-90, all bids and proposals in excess of $50,000.00 shall be awarded through formal written procedures by the City Council.
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
Using the resources of National Association of State Procurement Officers (NASPO) the IT Department of the City of Brighton has acquired annual preventative and on-call maintenance services related to the city's servers under the existing Master Agreement 2016-0000-0000-0000-0103 for several years. The contract expired at the end of 2019 but was extended through July 31. 2021 by Amendment No. 3.
The contract provides maintenance and related services for Hewlett Packard computer server equipment peripherals. The formal proposals were received on January 22, 2020 at 4:00 PM; six (6) firms submitting a proposal for this project.
The agreement is with the following vendor:
ABBA TECHNOLOGIES INC.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding was approved in the 2020 budget. The proposal from ABBA TECHNOLOGIES INC. is within the budgeted amount.
