PURPOSE
To have Council adopt the proposed fees and charges to be assessed by the City of Brighton for 2025.

BACKGROUND
On October 15, 2024, City Council adopted the 2025 fee resolution alongside the 2025 budget. In the updates made to ensure ADA compliance, some updates were included in an old version and did not make it into the final signed resolution. These include wording updates to ensure consistency with code and other ordinances, removing obsolete fees, correcting updated fees, and adding in two additional fees to ensure consistency with other Departments and with what has been discussed with Council.
Wording updates are related to changes to the definition of the term, "multi-family housing." The resolution includes updates across the document to ensure consistency and accuracy between the fee resolution and other documents that utilize this terminology.
Fees that are no longer charged, including rental costs for rooms no longer rented at the Recreation Center, and damage deposits no longer collected, have been removed.
Fees that have been corrected are shown across Attachment 12 and are contained to the Recreation Center. Earlier this year, staff did a review of fees to ensure what we charge matches those charged for similar services by surrounding cities. These updates bring fees in line with the results of that review.
The two new fees added include a Right of Way re-inspection fee under Attachment 2 for Public Works right of way fees to be consistent with re-inspection fees within the Building Division.
