PURPOSE
Adopting a Resolution approving the naming the Community Park located within Tract W of the Brighton Crossing filing 2, Brighton, Colorado as the “VENTURE PARK”.

BACKGROUND
City Council has adopted a Park Naming Resolution establishing a policy for such naming. The City Clerk has received one Park Naming Petition for the naming of the Community Park located within Tract W of the Brighton Crossing filing 2, Brighton, Colorado. The Park and Recreation Advisory Board has reviewed the Park Naming Petition and determined it to meet all the requirements of the Park Naming Policy.
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board held a public meeting on October 3, 2018 to solicit additional input on the proposed name. At the Park and Recreation Advisory Board meeting on October 3, 2018, the Board unanimously approved a motion to recommend to the City Council that the Community Park be named the “Venture Park”.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact. The Signage will be installed by the Developer during Construction of the Community Park in 2020.
