TITLE
Award of Formal Solicitation for Rec Center Tributary and Augmentation Line RFP# 17-061

PURPOSE
To request City Council approval of a formal solicitation for the Rec Center Tributary and Augmentation Line project to the most responsive and responsible bidder, and approving the resolution giving the Mayor authority to sign the contract. Municipal Code Section 3.08.090, ". . . . All bids and proposals in excess of $50,000 shall be awarded through formal written procedures by the city council."
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
After receiving notice from residents that an existing augmentation outfall was so eroded as to create a public safety hazard, City Staff initiated this project to install segments of infrastructure while simultaneously fixing the erosion, thereby protecting public health and safety. The project will result in the completion of two main components: a stormwater drop structure and an augmentation pipeline.
