PURPOSE

To inform City Council of an increase in Brighton’s share of funding for construction of the Ralston House Child Advocacy Center in Northglenn.

BACKGROUND

On February 17, 2017 City Council approved an agreement among the City of Northglenn, Ralston House, the cities of Westminster, Thornton, Federal Heights, Commerce City, Aurora and the City and County of Broomfield regarding construction and management of Ralston House.

Brighton’s financial contribution to the project was originally projected to be $77,910 with grant funding.  The project failed to receive grant funding and as a result a revision of the original IGA is necessary.  The revised IGA increases Brighton’s contribution to $123,455.  Funding sufficient to cover this amount has already been budgeted and is available.

CONCLUSIONS

This increase does not interfere with the City of Brighton’s ability to remain a partner in this project.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

$123,455.00
