PURPOSE

To propose the 2024 Holiday Schedule. 

 

BACKGROUND

 

A review of the upcoming paid holiday schedule for 2024.

 

The City Manager is authorized to outline the procedures for utilization of the paid holiday and sick leave schedule in accordance with the City’s Employee Handbook.

 

The twelve (12) days to be officially observed by the City in 2024 are:

New Year’s Day                                                               January 1

                                          Martin Luther King Jr. Day                                          January 15

                                          President’s Day                                                               February 19

                                          Memorial Day                                                                                    May 27

                                          Juneteenth                                                                                    June 19

                                          Independence Day                                                               July 4

                                          Labor Day                                                                                    September 2

                                          Veterans Day                                                                                    November 11

                                          Thanksgiving Day                                                               November 28

                                          Day After Thanksgiving                                          November 29

                                          Christmas Eve                                                                                    December 24

Christmas Day                                                               December 25

                                          

Eligible full-time employees shall continue to receive 80 hours of paid sick leave annually, which is not entitled to monetary reimbursement.
