PURPOSE
To discuss in executive session matters involving personnel matters for City Council employees.
BACKGROUND
The City Council directly appoints the City Manager and City Attorney. The City of Brighton Charter requires that the City Council evaluate the City Manager and City Attorney annually pursuant to Charter Sections 7.1(C) and 8.1(F). The Human Resources Director meets with the City Council to assist with the annual evaluation. This executive session is to discuss the City Attorney’s evaluation process.
OPTIONS FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION
City Council may make a motion, with the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present, to recess for an executive session pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(f)(I) and Charter Section 5.4(C)(5) for personnel matters.
