PURPOSE:
To adopt the Fiscal Year 2019 Budget for all funds, and appropriate the money for expenditure, per City Charter and State Statute.

BACKGROUND/HISTORY:
Staff has prepared the Fiscal Year 2019 Budget. The Proposed Fiscal Year 2019 Budget was delivered to City Council on September 20, 2018 after two previous budget discussions with the City Council including an all-day budget forum held on August 31, 2018. The proposed budget was subsequently discussed at five additional City Council Study Session meetings between September and the end of November. A Public Hearing will be held, per City Charter and State Statute, on December 5, 2018. The Resolution adopting the Fiscal Year 2019 Budget and appropriating the money for expenditure is attached.
CRITERIA BY WHICH COUNCIL MUST CONSIDER THE ITEM:
Article X of the City of Brighton Charter, and Title 29, Article 1 of the Colorado Revised Statutes.

BUDGET IMPACT:
The total all-funds budget being proposed for 2019 is $124,427,479. This includes all projected revenues and expenditures for fiscal year 2019 as well as any in-progress capital improvement projects that will carry over into 2019, from 2018.
