PURPOSE
To request City Council approval of an amendment to the existing Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with Urban Drainage and Flood Control District (UDFCD) for the construction of drainage and flood control improvements for the North Outfall - Denver Street Alignment. This outfall is designed to relieve the existing Longs Peak Outfall and reduce the frequent inundation of property and structures in the Core City. This amendment is needed to incorporate UDFCD's 2018 contribution of five hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars ($525,000) and the City's 2018 contribution of two million dollars ($2,000,000) to the project account.
BACKGROUND
The IGA, No. 06-01.25, was entered into by the City and UDFCD in 2006. Since then, the City has contributed one million seven hundred and thirty-one thousand dollars ($1,731,000) to this project. UDFCD has contributed one million one hundred and five thousand dollars ($1,105,000). The funds are placed in a Trust Account managed by Urban Drainage with the condition that any money that remains in the account at the close of the project will be returned or rolled-over to the next construction phase.
