PURPOSE

 

To approve a Resolution setting the ballot order and certifying the ballot content for the November 3, 2015 Coordinated Mail Ballot Election.

 

BACKGROUND

 

Seven (7) nomination petitions were submitted to the Office of the City Clerk by the statutory deadline of 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2015 and each of the seven (7) petitions nominated an elector eligible to hold a municipal office. Nine (9) petitioners collected a sufficient number of eligible signatures required to nominate each candidate.

 

On Tuesday, August 25, 2015 the names of candidates for Councilmember for each Ward were randomly selected by lot in the presence of at least one of the candidates for City Council to determine the order of their names on the ballot.
