PURPOSE
To provide the annual report on the activities of the City Attorney’s Office prior to the executive session for the City Attorney evaluation.
BACKGROUND
The City Attorney is appointed by the City Council and the Municipal Charter sets out the duties of the City Attorney. Much of what attorneys do is protected by the attorney-client privilege and other confidentiality laws. However, the goal of this report is to share with City Council and the public aggregate data reflecting the work performed by the City Attorney’s Office.
