PURPOSE
Requesting City Council approval of a formal proposal for the Design Services N 45th Ave Bridge Street to Longs Peak Street Project to the most responsive and responsible proposer, and approving the resolution giving the Mayor authority to sign the contract. Municipal Code Section 3.08.090, ". . . . All bids and proposals in excess of $50,000 shall be awarded through formal written procedures by the City Council."
BACKGROUND
Formal Proposals were requested from qualified Firms for the Design Services N 45th Avenue Bridge Street to Longs Peak Street Project.
In the early 2000's N. 45th Avenue was constructed from Bridge Street to Longs Peak, although only half the roadway, including the median curb and gutter, with the development to the west of N. 45th Ave. A Level III drainage report and design documents were completed as part of the development. The Level III drainage report appears to have included the boundary of the west side of the roadway, however will need to be further evaluated for conformance with current standards. In addition, the intent is to obtain a full width roadway design, yet only construct a travel and bike lane northbound, east of the median. Once a developer proceeds with development to the east of this alignment, the remaining balance will be constructed.
A Mandatory Pre-Proposal was conducted with eight firms attending. Formal proposals were received on April 14, 2017 at 10:00 AM for the Design Services N 45th Ave Bridge ...
