TITLE
Award of Formal Solicitation for Erger's Pond Augmentation Station RFP# 18-012R
PURPOSE
To request City Council approval of a formal solicitation for the Erger's Pond Augmentation Station project to the most responsive and responsible bidder, and approving the resolution giving the Mayor authority to sign the contract. Municipal Code Section 3.08.090, ". . . . All bids and proposals in excess of $50,000 shall be awarded through formal written procedures by the city council."
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
Erger's Pond is a critical reservoir within the Ken Mitchell Lakes water storage complex. Erger's has approximately 1,800 acre-feet of water storage. In order to utilize Erger's as water storage in the City of Brighton's augmentation plan, two pump stations need to be constructed. With a new diversion structure, water can be pumped or conveyed by gravity into Erger's Pond to be stored until augmentation back to the river is required. The scope of work consists of:
