PURPOSE
An Ordinance Approving a Residential lease of the Hattendorf House owned by the City of Brighton, located at 14605 Sable Blvd. to Petrocco Farms, Inc. for residential purposes
BACKGROUND
The City of Brighton owns the residence known as Hattendorf House located at 14605 Sable Blvd. Staff negotiated the terms of the proposed lease with Dave Petrocco, a local farmer. Mr. Petrocco leases other parcels of land from the City for farming. The Andersons lived in the house until April, 2018. Mr. Petrocco would like to lease the house as part of their farming operation. The terms of the Residential Lease are that Mr. Petrocco will pay $1,000.00 per month, for 24 months, and pay for all upkeep and utilities for the house.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The City will receive $12,000.00 per year for the lease of the residence for the next 2 years.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff Recommends approval of the Ordinance to lease the residence owned by the City located at 14605 Sable Blvd. to Petrocco Farms for residential purposes.
OPTIONS FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION
1) Approve the Ordinance to lease residence for residential purposes
2) Not approve ordinances.
