PURPOSE / BACKGROUND

This staff report is for informational purposes regarding the status of activities at the Depot. Staff will be present on March 26, 2019 to outline some of the key activities and overall progress of this project.

BACKGROUND

Since the end of 2018, staff has been working diligently on the adaptive reuse of the Depot project, previously approved by City Council in 2018. There are several items that are planned to come forward for action in the coming month or two and staff wishes to provide an update on those activities. A bulleted list of those upcoming items is provided below for reference and include:

 

                     Use of Undergrounding Funds from United Power (authorized on 3/19/19)

                     Award of contract for roof replacement

                     Award of contract for design/build for interior construction

                     Award of contract for design of exterior plaza

                     Authorization to execute (2) leases for interior tenants

                     Authorization to execute IGA for exterior project coordination and shared maintenance
