1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Mills called the meeting to order at 5:47 p.m.
A. Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag
Councilmember Jordinelli led the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag.
B. Roll Call
Present: 9 - Mayor Mills, Mayor Pro Tem Johnston, Councilmember Blackhurst,
Councilmember Cushing, Councilmember Humbert, Councilmember Jordinelli,
Councilmember Pollack, Councilmember Taddeo, and Councilmember Watts
2. APPROVAL OF REGULAR AGENDA
Motion by Mayor Pro Tem Johnston, seconded by Councilmember Watts, to approve the Regular Agenda as presented. Motion passed by the following vote:
Aye: 9 - Mayor Mills, Mayor Pro Tem Johnston, Councilmember Blackhurst, Councilmember Cushing, Councilmember Humbert, Councilmember Jordinelli, Councilmember Pollack, Councilmember Taddeo, and Councilmember Watts
3. RESOLUTIONS
A. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BRIGHTON, COLORADO CERTIFYING THE BALLOT CONTENT FOR THE COORDINATED MAIL BALLOT ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 2, 2021; AND SETTING FORTH OTHER DETAILS RELATED THERETO
Mayor Mills read the title of the Resolution into the record.
City Clerk Natalie Hoel answered questions from Council regarding:
• The number of petitions that were not turned in.
Motion by Councilmember Blackhurst, seconded by Councilmember Taddeo, to approve Resolution 2021-61. Motion passed by the following vote:
Aye: 9 - Mayor Mills, Mayor Pro Tem Johnston, Councilmember Blackhurst, Councilmember Cushing, Councilmember Humbert, Councilmember Jordinelli, Councilmember Pollack, Councilmember Taddeo, and Councilmember Watts
4. EXECUTIVE SESSION
Motion by Mayor Pro Tem Johnston, seconded by Councilmember Humbert, to go into Executive Session at 5:50 p.m. for discussion of a personnel matter under C.R.S. Section 24-6-402(4)(f) and not involving: any specific employees who have requested discussion of the matter in open session; any member of this body or any elected official; the appointment of any person to fill an office of this body or of an elected official; or personnel policies that do not require the discussion of matters personal to particular employees regarding Municipal Judge Interviews. Motion passed by the following vote:

Mayor Mills reconvened the meeting at 6:38 p.m.
Motion by Mayor Pro Tem Johnston, seconded by Councilmember Watts, to add to the upcoming agenda to revisit this item in an open session and make a decision regarding the Municipal Judge and to direct staff to negotiate the details of the Municipal Judge Employment contract. Motion passed by the following vote:
