BACKGROUND
City Council approved, as part of the 2021 Budget, project funding for a facility use assessment. Potential vendors participated in two pre-bid meetings held in January and February 2021 to learn more about the City’s properties and the space planning project. Seven proposals were submitted in response to the solicitation, pricing for the proposals ranged from $98,240 up to $346,270. City Council approved a contract with Economic & Planning Systems for $98,240 to complete the facility use assessment. The use assessment includes a review of City-owned property to make recommendations for sale, lease and/or repurpose opportunities. On June 22, 2021, Economic & Planning Systems provided their first of three presentations to Council regarding facilities and properties findings. On August 10, 2021 the consultants provided their second presentation to Council. This is the third and final presentation by the consultant to outline findings for the City’s currently held properties.
