Supportive, Sustainable Infrastructure

BACKGROUND

A non-potable system already exists in the City: Bromley Park (Chikuma Well) and areas of the Core City are currently served by the non-potable reservoir near the Oasis Water Park. The current rate for non-potable water per City Code is $3.22. Staff wants to ensure that we update the cost of service for the non-potable system based on variables as they exist today. The City is also obligated to complete a non-potable rate study under the Comprehensive Funding Agreement between the City and Prairie Center.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

No financial impact at this time

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the City Council consider the proposed non-potable water rate at a future City Council meeting.
