PURPOSE
To provide an update to City Council regarding the current happenings in the Utilities Department and what is to come in the future.
BACKGROUND / DISCUSSION
The City of Brighton Utilities Department has been busy so far in 2024!
This departmental update will include items such as:
• Introduction to the Utilities team
• An overview of the systems and functions we provide
• Introduction of the new Utilities ‘brand,’ the department strategic plan, and our investments made in customer outreach
• New efforts to engage our staff and encourage growth within our department
• Current and future staffing levels
• Updates on recent activities in each of the department’s five divisions
• Allow for City Council questions and discussion
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
City staff are not asking City Council to take any action and this item is presented for informational purposes only.
