Municipal Code Section 3.08.090, ". . . . All bids and proposals in excess of $50,000 shall be awarded through formal written procedures by the city council."

When either the valve or the actuator fail, their associated filter cannot function, which affects the water treatment capacity of the Greensand Plant and requires a costly and urgent repair. The Greensand Filter Effluent Line Valve Replacement Project involves the replacement of these aged and faulty valves and actuators, thereby increasing the reliability of the Greensand Plant.
