PURPOSE
A Resolution authorizing the City of Brighton to submit to Adams County Open Space, an Open Space Mini-Grant Application requesting grant funding in the amount not to exceed $5,000.00 for the "High School Seniors Beautification Project at Brighton Sports Complex"; and to authorize the City Manager to sign the Grant Application.

BACKGROUND
The Parks and Recreation Department, during each spring from 2012 through 2018, have worked with Brighton High School on park beautification projects with their High School Seniors. (The Seniors have completed seven beautification projects within the City's Open Space and Parks instead of participating in "Senior Ditch Day".)
Due to the success and growth in participants of the past seven High School Seniors Beautification Projects; the High School Seniors will again work with the City's Parks and Recreation Department - Parks and Open Space Division on this project. The Division realizes that the Brighton Sports Complex is in need of additional trees throughout the complex, and this High School Seniors Beautification Project is an appropriate project for the senior class in May 2019. Payment for a portion of the trees is what is being requested in this Adams County Open Space Mini-Grant.
